Donald Trump and Barack Obama met for the first time Thursday morning, at the White House, where they began the process of installing the president-elect’s administration. “We discussed a lot of different situations,” Trump told reporters, “some wonderful and some difficulties. I very much look forward to dealing with the president in the future, including counsel.” (?) “He explained some of the difficulties and some of the high-flying assets.”
From the AP:
Obama said that they had an “excellent” and “wide-ranging” conversation.
Obama said he was encouraged by Trump’s wanting to work with his team on issues facing the country. He said it’s important for all “to now come together.”
A reporter asked: “So, Mr. Trump, you’ll seek his counsel?”
“Very good man,” Trump replied.
