After the release of a worrying promo for Dr. Phil’s upcoming special on Shelley Duvall, the daughter of Stanley Kubrick (who directed Duvall in The Shining) has spoken out on Twitter to call for a boycott of the episode.

Vivian Kubrick, a filmmaker who made a popular documentary about the making of The Shining in 1980, called the episode “lurid entertainment”on her Twitter account, and added a letter which reads:

Dear Dr. Phil

You are putting Shelley Duvall ‘on show’ while she is suffering from a pitiable state of ill health. Unquestionably, this is purely a form of lurid and exploitative entertainment - it’s appallingly cruel.

Shelley Duvall was a movie star ... whatever dignity a mere unfortunate creature might have in this world, is denied her by your displaying her in this way.

I recoil in complete disgust. I hope others will join me in boycotting your utterly heartless form of entertainment, because it has nothing to do with compassionate healing.

Sincerely disgusted,

Vivian Kubrick.

The interview airs tomorrow.

Radar claims Hugh Grant and Elizabeth Hurley are getting back together 16 years after she dumped his cheating butt. While I don’t believe a single word of their story (much like Gwyneth Paltrow in that scene from The Talented Mr. Ripley), it’s sort of funny fun to read an item that is overflowing so dramatically with utter bullshit.

Writes Radar Online:

“Hugh seems to have ditched his playboy ways. Liz believes Hugh is her soulmate,” the insider continued. “She wants to grow old with him. After all these years, it seems impossible for Liz and Hugh to live without each other.”

Here it is, folks. The most thrilling headline of the week:
